Dinner Party Notes

The dinner at the Olympian was great.  Those who didn't make it missed a great fellowship and some great food.  Hopefully, many more will be able to attend the next social gathering.

Lets Make it a Priority

PGBC will be having Friend Day in just a few short weeks.  Please put this day and event on the top of you prayer list.  Making this a number one priority will keep it on your mind.  Don't just ask God to help someone else bring a friend.  Pray about someone you can bring with you.

I will be asking the Lord to put someone specific on my heart as well as one each of our hearts.  It's not about numbers, it's about caring and loving as neighbors as the scripture commands.  Matthew tells us Jesus says the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart and to love others as yourself.  Let's show others that we care by loving them into our fellowship.

Be-lated Valentine Dinner

Tonight's the night!  Meet at the Olympian on Congaree Road, 6:00 pm.  I hope you already have babysitters.  I am looking forward to a good turnout and lots of good food and fun.  Remember to leave a few minutes early and drive carefully.  Lots of rain out there.

Valentine's Dinner Outing

Februrary 27, 2009---Mark it Down!!

The date for our Valentine Dinner outing.  We will meet at the Olympian on Congaree Road.  More details to follow.  Please contact Sandi Bazemore if you have any questions.

Update:Betty Bazemore-House Fire

Thanks to everyone who has asked about and continues to pray for my Mom and the loss of her house.  The Lord is good and is providing more and more everyday.  We are still looking for a temporary house to move Mom out of the hotel and into a more normal setting.  The insurance company has been excellent to work with.  Continue to pray for decisions we need to make over the next few weeks.

Friend Day is Coming!!!

Everyone.  Please take note that Friend Day 2009 is quickly approaching.  Check your snail-mail box  in the next few days for a paper reminder.  The challenge is for everyone to bring one friend.  ONE FRIEND.  That should be easy.  There will be more specifics in the days to come, with dates and a class challenge.  Till then, keep this at the top of your prayer list.

Susan Davidson Steps Up

Susan has agreed to teach our class for the next several weeks, in my absence.  Thanks to Susan and thanks to Mark for letting us borrow her.  I should be back in the regular swing of things toward the end of March.

Please keep Susan in your prayers as she prepares the lessons.
